Pay: £26 – £30 per hour (PAYE)
Hours: Flexible – part-time and full-time opportunities available

If you’re a qualified teacher feeling ready for a new direction outside the pressures of the classroom, this role could be the fresh start you’re looking for.

We’re looking for experienced, compassionate teachers to join us as 1:1 Nurture Teachers, working with children and young people with SEMH, SEND, or emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA). You’ll deliver personalised, trauma-informed education in homes, community settings, or specialist environments across Tameside and surrounding areas.

This is a chance to use your teaching skills in a way that offers more flexibility, deeper impact, and a renewed sense of purpose — without the paperwork, behaviour management, and intensity of traditional school life.

What You’ll Be Doing:

*

Delivering 1:1 teaching sessions tailored to individual student needs

*

Supporting learners who are unable to attend mainstream school due to social, emotional or mental health challenges

*

Using a nurture-based, trauma-informed approach to build trust and re-engage students with learning

*

Collaborating with families, carers, and professionals to support progress

*

Helping students develop confidence, emotional regulation, and academic growth

What We’re Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

*

Experience with SEMH, SEND or alternative provision is highly valued

*

A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching

*

Strong relationship-building and communication skills

*

Confidence to work independently and travel locally

*

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

What You’ll Get:

*

£26–£30 per hour (PAYE), depending on experience

*

A flexible working schedule that fits around your life

*

Freedom from classroom pressures, with the chance to focus on meaningful 1:1 support

*

CPD opportunities and access to high-quality resources

*

A supportive, understanding team who value your expertise
