The Company:

An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Trainee Merchandiser to join their growing friendly team. They are a long established and leading importer and distributor of a wide range of textiles, selling to online sellers and into multiple retailers and wholesale sectors, throughout the UK and Europe.

The Role:
Providing support and assistance to the Buyers and Sales on a Day to Day Basis
Making sure the right information is available in the right place at the right time to make orders efficient for our colleagues

Complete responsibility for placing, tracking, and creating purchase orders.
Raising all POS

Keeping relationships with suppliers daily, chasing regarding outstanding queries and communication to keep on track with Critical path.

Maintenance of critical path, chasing all approvals, samples and ensuring we can meet shipment dates in time for the planned booking dates.

Making sure that all systems are updated with accurate and updated information, which is essential for ensuring that information is fed back to sales team

Responsible for following up on samples, packaging information, shipment, weight, and carton data and barcodes, this is key job in the role and needs great attention to detail.

Close collaboration with the sales, design, and QA departments to guarantee that the product and packaging end-to-end processes are achieved

Building key relationships with other departments across the business to ensure effective communication, to ensure the values of the company are met

Making sure all samples are shot for the sales team and online, and informing the design team of any changes or styling

Skills Required:

Good IT and administrative skills.

Excel and PowerPoint.

Understanding of our system would be beneficial but not essential.

The ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritising workload to meet deadlines.

Experience of working in an office environment.

Good written/numerical and communication skills.

Be well organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team
