Fire Operatives
Location: Ipswich & surrounding areas
Salary: £38,700 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week

An established and reputable organisation within the property services sector is currently recruiting for four qualified Fire Operatives to join their team based in Ipswich, covering the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of passive fire systems, including fire doors and fire stopping works
Ensure all works are completed in line with relevant regulations, British Standards, and building safety requirements
Maintain accurate daily work records and provide clear progress updates to customers
Diagnose issues and implement effective remedial solutions, escalating where required
Maintain tools, equipment, and stock levels in accordance with company procedures and budgets
Skills & Experience Required

NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Fire Protection and/or NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry (essential)
Original qualification certificates must be produced at interview (copies and CSCS cards alone will not be accepted)
Proven experience delivering fire works within a fire and security or property maintenance environment
Strong understanding of British Standards and current fire safety legislation
Good customer service and communication skills
Comfortable using IT systems and mobile devices to log works
Full UK manual driving licence (essential – role involves use of a company vehicle)
