Job Title: Tree Officer
Pay Rate: £15.18 per hour 
Contract Duration: Up to 5 months (starting 16 August)
Hours: 37 per week
Location: Crawley, and across the borough

About the Role:
Meridian Business Support is seeking a motivated and qualified Tree Officer to join our Client on a temporary basis to provide essential cover for a vacant permanent position. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our arboriculture operations, helping to manage, maintain and protect the borough’s valuable tree stock.
Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and assess the condition of trees owned by the Council
Provide expert advice on arboricultural matters, including disease, species identification, and structural integrity
Coordinate tree surgery works under the direction of the Arboricultural Manager
Assist in planning and delivering the Council’s tree planting programme
Conduct tree surveys and maintain the tree database
Respond to public enquiries and concerns regarding treesWhat We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a candidate who holds a National Certificate in Arboriculture and has:

A strong understanding of tree species, diseases, and British Standards for arboriculture
Experience working in arboriculture or tree surgery
Experience working directly with customers or clients
Ideally, a Professional Tree Inspectors Qualification (or is currently working towards one)
A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle (essential)Benefits
