The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured, and differentiated lessons in line with the Year 2 National Curriculum, ensuring that each pupil's needs are met.

Use assessment data effectively to monitor pupil progress, inform planning, and provide targeted support where necessary.

Create a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment that fosters positive behaviour, engagement, and academic success.

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to teaching across the school.

Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and encouraging their involvement in school life.

Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

*

A strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and experience in delivering engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of young learners.

*

Ability to use assessment to inform teaching, ensuring all students are supported to reach their full potential.

*

Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-structured learning environment.

*

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, staff, and parents.

*

A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for inspiring young learners.
