Role: Yard Manager

Location: St Albans

Hours: Full time day shift

Salary: Up to 40k a year 

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Yard Operative to join our clients successful team.

Duties of a Yard Manager:

Oversee the day-to-day running of the yard, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Manage yard staff, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring
Maintain stock control and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the yard, vehicles, and equipment
Coordinate deliveries, collections, and logistics with suppliers and clients
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
 
 What we would like from you:

Proven experience in a similar Yard Manager or Supervisor role
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of health & safety and environmental compliance
Ability to operate yard machinery and equipment (licence's an advantage)
IT literacy and confidence using stock management systems
