Job Title: Finance Contractor (Financial Control)

Location: Walsall (Hybrid Opportunities)
Contract Type: Initial 3-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension)
Salary: £24 per hour

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Finance professional to join our client on a contract basis. This is a Financial Control-focused position ideally suited to candidates with experience in similar service-based environments (e.g., utilities, insurance, or home assistance providers).

The role requires a confident and capable individual to support core finance functions including month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, with occasional support on audits.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy across accounts

* Complete month-end reporting in line with company timelines

* Support general accounts processes as part of the finance team

* Assist with audit preparation and delivery when required

* Prepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-making

Key Requirements:

* Accountancy qualification required – Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred but not essential

* Proven experience in a Finance Control or Financial Reporting role

* Background in industries similar to our client (utilities, insurance, maintenance, or financial services) is advantageous

* Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and meet deadlines

* Must be able to travel to the Walsall office as part of a hybrid working arrangement

Contract Details:

* Duration: 3 months (with a potential of extension)

* Rate: Up to £24 per hour (equivalent to £50,000 per annum)

* Working Pattern: Hybrid (office presence required in Walsall)
