A well-established high-street law firm with a strong local reputation is seeking an experienced Solicitor to lead its Personal Injury and Medical Negligence department. All work is sourced directly from clients, with no reliance on claims management companies or claims farmers.

The Role
You will head a small team of solicitors and take responsibility for managing and developing a busy caseload of claimant personal injury matters, alongside a smaller volume of medical negligence work.
The caseload will primarily consist of high-street personal injury matters including:
* Road Traffic Accidents (RTA)
* Employers' Liability (EL)
* Public Liability (PL)
* Slips, trips and falls
* Minor to moderate orthopaedic and soft tissue injuries
* Fast Track and Multi-Track cases

There will also be some exposure to:
* Industrial disease claims (e.g. NIHL, HAVS, asbestos-related conditions)
* Fatal accident claims
* Lower to mid-level medical negligence matters, although another solicitor in the team specialise in this so it will be limited
The role will involve running your own files from instruction through to settlement or trial, supervising team members, and contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the department.

The Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) and a strong background in claimant personal injury
* A stable career history demonstrating long-term commitment and progression within previous roles
* For fully remote applicants, previous experience of working from home and the ability to manage a caseload effectively with minimal supervision is essential.
* Experience managing a full caseload of personal injury matters, including litigation
* Strong working knowledge of the MOJ Portal and Fast Track and Multi-Track procedures
* Some exposure to medical negligence work (desirable but not essential)
* Supervisory or leadership experience, or the ambition to progress into a Head of Department role

What's on Offer
* Opportunity to lead and shape a growing department
* Quality work sourced directly from clients
* Supportive, collaborative team environment
* Genuine autonomy and career progression
