About the Science Department
The Science faculty is large, collaborative, and well-supported, with dedicated subject leads for each science discipline. About the Role
As a Biology Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
• Teaching Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level teaching for the right candidate.
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that challenge and inspire.
• Supporting students in developing practical skills and scientific inquiry.
• Participating in field trips and enrichment activities linked to the subject.
• Assessing progress and giving timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborating with colleagues to refine curriculum and improve outcomes.
• Contributing to the school’s ethos of excellence and inclusion.

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Biology or a related field
• PGCE/QTS with Biology specialism
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for the life sciences
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to student progress and well-being

Salary
This Biology Teacher role will be paid to scale – MPS/UPS, depending on experience.
