Job Description
Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join their team. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role within the team in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the energy sector by developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules / plans.
· Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to track and monitor project progress, as well as support delivery forecasting/look-aheads.
· Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to develop and support change / impact programmes with the wider delivery teams.
· Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
· Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures.
· Identify potential programme risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales.
· Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency.
· Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates, through programme utilisation.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
· Strong Knowledge of NEC form of contract essential
· Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
· Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
· Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
· Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
· Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
· Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
