The Opportunity

Our client, a highly prestigious and academically outstanding independent school based in Lewisham, is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Design Technology Teacher to join their thriving and well-resourced Design Technology department. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to work in an intellectually stimulating environment where students are highly motivated and behaviour is exemplary.

This role is suitable for both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to launch their careers in a dynamic and supportive school.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

* Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 to 5

* Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that foster curiosity and academic rigour

* Contribute to the continued development of the Design Technology curriculum and co-curricular activities

* Use a variety of teaching methods and technologies to support different learning styles

* Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, and CPD opportunities

* Demonstrate strong classroom management, professional conduct, and an enthusiasm for collaborative learning

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – PGCE or equivalent required
