Joinery Shop Supervisor

Our client is a multi-disciplined construction company who work on a variety of new build and refurb projects, they have an on-site joinery workshop that services the main contracting discipline.

Due to a heavy order book, they are seeking to recruit a Joiner Shop Supervisor to oversee a team of joiners in a fast paced and dynamic environment, whilst providing support to the joinery manager.

Responsibilities include;

General workshop duties such as scheduling and issuing workload for the joiner’s shop

Information distribution and filing

Fire Door Legislation

Production and quality control

Timber Stock Control

Machine Inspections, maintenance and repairs

Health & Safety / ISO Management system

Managing Workload & Programming

pricing tenders as required and assisting with design input

Advising Construction Director and agreeing actions for major fixed woodworking machine replacements and improvements

This is an excellent opportunity that will suit someone with an experienced joinery background with a history of supervising / managing colleagues in a busy environment.
