Weighbridge & Yard Operator
Location: Selby, 
Working Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 17:00-22:00
Employment Type: Temporary (approx. 6 months) with potential for extension
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Weighbridge & Yard Operator to join our busy site in Selby. This is a part-time evening role where you will play a crucial role in managing weighbridge operations, ensuring accurate vehicle movements, and maintaining a safe and efficient yard.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately book drivers in and out using the weighbridge system (SAP)
- Safely manoeuvre and shunt vehicles within the yard as needed
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all vehicle movements
- Follow all health & safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues to keep operations running smoothly
- Conduct basic vehicle checks and promptly report any issues

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a weighbridge or yard environment is preferred; training will be provided
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is desirable but not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling paperwork
- Confidence to work independently and make safe decisions
- Good communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
