Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join a forward-thinking building services consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable electrical design solutions. This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare sectors, with strong support for professional development and progression toward chartership.
The Intermediate Electrical Engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to technically challenging projects while building expertise under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems, including power, lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, and security
Produce accurate design calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and tender documentation in line with UK standards
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated MEP solutions
Participate in site surveys, liaising with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
Ensure compliance with building regulations, BS 7671, and CIBSE guidance
Contribute to technical documentation and project submissions
Stay updated with emerging technologies, sustainable design practices, and industry regulations
Candidate Profile

Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
2–5 years’ experience in building services design, either in consultancy or contracting
Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is desirable
Solid understanding of UK wiring regulations, sustainability principles, and best practice
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Ambitious, motivated, and committed to professional development toward chartership
