About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Thamesmead for an enthusiastic and organised Food Technology Technician. This is an excellent opportunity to support a vibrant Food Technology department and contribute to high-quality teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

As the Food Technology Technician, you will:

* Prepare ingredients, materials and specialist equipment for practical lessons

* Support teaching staff during food preparation activities

* Maintain consistent hygiene and safety standards within the food rooms

* Clean, store and maintain equipment and resources

* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

* Provide general administrative and practical support to the department

What We’re Looking For

* Experience as a technician or in a catering/food preparation environment (advantageous)

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety procedures

* A proactive, student-focused approach

* Ability to work as part of a friendly, collaborative team
