Domestic Couple – Housekeeper (FOH) and Houseman

* Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 per annum (DOE)

A busy and well-established family estate near Chipping Norton is seeking a reliable and experienced domestic couple to support the smooth running of a lively household. This is a varied role suited to a practical, friendly and proactive couple who work well together and are happy to assist with a wide range of duties both inside the home.

This is the client’s primary residence; however, they also own properties around the world where they frequently visit during the holidays. They are typically away for a couple of weeks at a time during the holidays, so they are ideally looking for a flexible work pattern.

The family is supported by a loyal and energetic household team, which includes nannies, housekeepers, gardeners, and administrative staff. The successful couple will be an integral part of this cohesive team, ensuring the home is impeccably maintained.

Key responsibilities

Housekeeper / FOH:

* Full housekeeping of the main family home including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management

* Maintaining high standards of presentation throughout bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas

* Assisting with meal service and clearing as needed

* Supporting household errands and organisation

* Collaborating closely with nannies and other housekeeping staff

Houseman:

* Assisting with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of outdoor events, family celebrations, and children’s parties

* Managing front of house duties such as welcoming and escorting guests, handling deliveries, and supporting family arrivals and departures

* Monitoring and maintaining the smooth operation of household systems and outdoor equipment

* Providing general assistance with errands, stocking supplies, and ensuring the grounds are tidy and presentable

* Light DIY/maintenance i.e. changing light bulbs

Candidate requirements

* Experienced domestic couple with excellent housekeeping and household support skills

* Practical, friendly, and discreet with a strong team ethic

* Confident and comfortable working around children and pets

* Able to manage time efficiently and take initiative

* Strong communication skills in English

* Clean driving license preferred
