CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator)
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Salary: Competitive, £30,000 depending on experience
Hours: 39 hrs/week – Mon–Thu: 8am–4.30pm Fri: 8am–4pm
An established and growing UK-based engineering and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Setter/Operator) to join its precision-focused machine shop.

What You'll Be Doing:
Setting and operating CNC lathes and mills (FANUC, HAAS, or similar controls)
Producing one-off and small batch precision components to tight tolerances
Reading engineering drawings and selecting appropriate tooling
Supporting continuous improvement and process updates
Maintaining equipment, tooling and a tidy workstation
Collaborating with a friendly and experienced team
What You’ll Need:
NVQ / HNC / HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Experience with CNC machining (toolmaking or small batch production desirable)
Ability to work from technical drawings and use measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers)
Familiarity with FANUC, MAZATROL, or HAAS controls
ALPHACAM or programming experience is a bonus (training available)
