1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary role with potential to become permanent, starting as soon as possibleThe school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils feel safe and supported. Pupils benefit from strong pastoral care and a curriculum designed to help them thrive both academically and personally.Duties as 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant:
Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with SEND needs
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Adapt resources and strategies to meet individual learning requirements
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
Monitor and record pupil progress and report to the teacher
Work closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals
Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environmentIdeal 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant:
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential
Experience working in a primary school setting
Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND needs on a one-to-one basis
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Strong communication and organisational skills
