About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Assist in planning and delivering tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment to boost student confidence and engagement.
Monitor and assess progress, offering valuable feedback to teachers and the SENCo.
Support daily classroom activities while maintaining a safe and nurturing learning space.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience working with children, ideally in an SEN-focused role.
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN to achieve their full potential.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate and adaptable approach.
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred but not essential with sufficient classroom experience.
Flexibility and reliability to meet the needs of schools and pupils.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
