A high-achieving independent school near Ross-on-Wye, within easy reach of Gloucester, is looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher for September 2025. This role involves delivering an engaging curriculum across KS3 to A-Level, with an emphasis on product design, sustainable innovation, and hands-on making.

The DT department boasts industry-standard facilities, including CAD suites, 3D printers, and woodworking machinery. You will support students in coursework, encourage innovation through national competitions, and have the chance to lead co-curricular STEAM initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

Teach DT across KS3 to KS5, including A-Level NEA projects

Promote a safe and stimulating design environment

*

Embed CAD/CAM, sustainability, and real-world design problems

*

Collaborate on co-curricular clubs and design showcases

Candidate Requirements:

Degree in Product Design, Engineering, or related field

*

PGCE + QTS; A-Level teaching experience preferable

*

Familiarity with Fusion 360, Adobe, or similar design software

*

Passion for innovation and mentoring future engineers/designers
