Salary: £41,000 - £43,000 FTE

What You’ll Do as School Lead Nurse

Take overall responsibility for the delivery of high-quality nursing care to pupils, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing.

Lead the school’s Medical Centre team as the School Lead Nurse, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

*

Provide direct clinical support, respond to medical emergencies, and manage care plans for students with ongoing health needs.

*

Liaise effectively with parents, school staff, and external healthcare professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to care.

*

Promote best practice in safeguarding, infection control, and health education across the school community.

What We’re Looking For

*

Registered Nurse (RGN/RSCN) with current NMC registration.

*

Significant post-registration experience, ideally within a school, paediatric, or community setting.

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

*

A proactive, flexible, and empathetic approach with a passion for supporting the wellbeing of young people.
