Academics are seeking experienced Special Needs Assistant's to join our team to work in our clients Mainstream Primary School. As a Special Needs Assistant, you will play a key role within the classroom, within smaller groups of pupils & 1:1 sessions where required.

Working with Academics

Permanent part-time & full-time vacancies
Daily supply work from £90 per day
Competitive pay for contract and permanent roles (MPS/UPS scale depending on experience)

Supports pupils with SEND, including using non-verbal communication
Puts children first and can create clear structure
Is confident working in a specialist provision
Stays calm under pressure
Has experience supporting children with social/communication needs (ideally 1:1)
Is calm, firm, adaptable and willing to learn
Can respond to children's emotional needsExperience with SEND is desirable.
