Are you a passionate and experienced SEN teacher ready to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing and well-supported environment? A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a dedicated specialist school in Barnet, seeking a SEN secondary teacher to join their team full-time from September 2025.
This is a rewarding and permanent role, ideal for an experienced teacher who thrives in a structured yet creative environment, committed to meeting the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
Role details
• Working hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (term time only)
• Class size: 10 pupils
• Support: You’ll work closely with 4 highly experienced and supportive teaching assistants
• Student needs: Mixed learning needs – including but not limited to ASC. Many pupils are verbal and eager to engage
• Curriculum: Semi-formal, designed to suit individual learning styles while promoting independence, life skills, and academic progress

Ideal candidate
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Has experience teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs, ideally in a secondary school or SEND setting
• Confident in delivering a semi-formal curriculum tailored to individual EHCPs
• Able to lead a class with a positive, proactive approach and excellent communication with support staff
• Passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment
