Atlantic Resource (Services) Ltd. are working closely with the schools across Cardiff to source dedicated, reliable, and community-focused School Caretakers.

Full-Time | Split Shift or Full Day Patterns Available depending on the individual school

As a School Caretaker, you will play a paramount role in creating a safe, clean, and well-operating environment for pupils, staff, and visitors alike.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Positions are Temp/ongoing and follow either a split shift (typically early morning and late afternoon) or a full day shift, depending on the individual school requirements.

Rate of pay:

Rate of pay will be dependent on the shift pattern, level of experience and responsibility required.

We’re looking for someone with practical maintenance experience, good communication skills, and a flexible, person-centred approach. You’ll need to be able to work independently, manage your workload, and be confident using basic technology

Key Responsibilities:

* Opening and securing the school site

* General maintenance, minor repairs, and cleaning duties

* Ensuring safety across school buildings and outdoor areas

* Reporting any faults or maintenance issues promptly

* Basic plumbing, decorating, and garden care

* Conducting safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lights, water temp, etc.)

* Liaising with contractors and keeping accurate records

* Ensuring minimal disruption to the School

* A Full UK Driving licence AND Own Vehicle

Requirements:

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

* Reliable transport to Cardiff-based schools

* A positive, proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility

* No previous experience necessary however it is very much desirable.
