Technical Manager – Residential Developer
* Location: Brentwood, Essex
* Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
* Salary: Up to £85k + package (depending on experience)
Role
We are working with a Leading Residential Company who work as both as a Main Contractor and Developer building both affordable housing and speculative developments. My client has over 60 years’ experience and have a reputation for high quality design and build, sound goverance and good management practices. Their expertise has been recognised with various awards, including Large Housebuilder of the year at the Housebuilder Awards.
Together we are seeking a Technical Manager to work in the East London Region, managing a new build RC frame residential schemes across East London touching Essex boarders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage technical aspects of multiple residential schemes at various stages
* Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and local authorities
* Oversee production and approval of technical drawings and specifications
* Ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, NHBC, and other statutory requirements
* Provide technical input during land acquisition and planning stages
* Monitor progress and resolve technical issues during construction phase
* Manage and mentor junior technical staff as required
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Technical Manager or similar role within residential development
* Strong understanding of UK planning, building regulations, and construction standards
* Excellent project management and coordination skills
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software
* HNC/HND or degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
