Sheet Metal Technician - Aerospace (B737NG)
? Location: Birmingham
? Contract: 12 Months | OUTSIDE IR35
? Rate: £36 per hour
? Hours: Monday to Friday | 11-hour shifts (10 hours paid)

✈️ The Opportunity
Shorterm Group are currently recruiting experienced Sheet Metal Technicians to support a major structural modification program based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on the Boeing B737NG - Military Wedgetail aircraft in a state-of-the-art base maintenance facility.

You'll be part of a skilled engineering team carrying out complex sheet metal repairs and large structural modifications on one of the most exciting military conversion programs in the UK.

? Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed skin repairs and replacements
- Execute large structural modifications and repair work
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and the Structural Repair Manual (SRM)
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards

✅ Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Structures Technician
- Proven background in aerospace structures, particularly heavy maintenance or modification
- Ability to work confidently from drawings and SRMs
- BPSS clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Right to work in the UK is essential

- Long-term contract: 12 months
- OUTSIDE IR35
- Day shifts only - no weekends or nights
- 11-hour shift (paid 10 hours)
