SEN Teaching Assistant - Ealing Secondary School - September 2025 Start
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Ealing to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant for a September 2025 start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs. The role will initially be offered on a one-year temporary contract through the agency, with the potential for a permanent role from the following academic year.
Graduates with a degree in Psychology are strongly encouraged to apply, even if they do not yet have school-based experience.
Location: Ealing
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Duration: 1-year agency contract (Temp), with opportunity for permanent role
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
Assist students in accessing the curriculum and fully engaging in lessons
Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support plans
Support students’ emotional, social, and academic development
Promote independence, confidence, and positive relationships among students
Help monitor student progress and contribute to reviews and reports
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting young people with SEN in a school setting
Be enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable to a variety of learning needs
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Be proactive and confident supporting students across a range of subjects
Be passionate about inclusive education and helping students overcome barriers to learning
Hold a degree in Psychology or a related field – desirable but not essential
Be open to training and development opportunities within the school
