Due to the nature of the work, this position is only open to sole UK nationals who are eligible to obtain Security Clearance.

Copello are working on behalf of a Defence Prime to recruit a Facilities Operative in South London on a permanent basis.

In this role, you’ll take a hands-on approach to maintaining and improving the site — carrying out daily upkeep, repairs, and general support to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-presented working environment for staff and visitors.

What you’ll do:

* Tackle general repairs and upkeep across the site (basic plumbing, carpentry, painting).

* Check and respond to issues with building systems and equipment.

* Support office moves, furniture setups, and layout changes.

* Oversee contractors and suppliers working on-site.

* Assist with grounds care, waste management, and seasonal tasks (e.g., gritting).

* Contribute to wider facilities projects and team improvements.

What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience in a facilities, maintenance, or building support role.

* Practical skills with tools and general repairs.

* Organised, reliable, and customer-focused.

* Able to work independently or as part of a team.

* Eligible to gain UK Security Clearance
