Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 42.95 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Determine and secure the right number of SEND school places.

Ensure quality and value for money in SEND placements.

Monitor and manage contracts to meet outcomes for children.

Collaborate with key agencies for joint service commissioning.

Forecast demand and provide local SEND places.

Negotiate fees and contract terms.

Support appropriate placements in mainstream and SEND settings.

Write reports to track and evaluate SEND placements.

Attend meetings to plan and discuss new placements.

Promote professional development and continuous learning.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Data Protection, and Equal Opportunities.

Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Degree or equivalent in commissioning or procurement management.

Understanding of education laws and SEND Code of Practice.

Experience in contracts and commissioning in local government.

Strong communication and partnership skills.

Ability to work effectively in a local government context.

Nice to Have

Experience in developing strategic partnerships.

Ability to co-create strategies with parents and partners.

Knowledge of financial responsibilities and High Needs Funding.

Skills in data analysis and reporting.
