NPD Coordinator

We are looking for a passionate and proactive NPD Coordinator to play a key role in developing and delivering innovative, commercially successful products across both branded and private label ranges.

This is a highly exciting and innovative business offering a delicious product, well worth trying.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll support projects from concept through to launch, ensuring each product meets internal quality standards, customer expectations, and all regulatory requirements. This is a highly cross-functional role, working closely with technical, supply chain, commercial, and marketing teams, as well as external partners and manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of new products and product enhancements.

Manage all stages of the NPD process, including concept creation, benchmarking, sample preparation, factory trials, and product launch.

Conduct market and competitor reviews to generate insights that inform innovation and development strategies.

Maintain project timelines, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed.

Collaborate with co-manufacturers and suppliers to source samples, specifications, costings, and manufacturing details.

Prepare accurate and detailed product specifications, recipes, and artwork data for review and approval.

Organise and document product tastings, ensuring follow-up actions are completed.

Support packaging development and ensure labelling accuracy in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Contribute to post-launch evaluations and continuous improvement activities.

Assist with customer submissions, presentations, and sample preparation.

Play an active role in sustainability and health-focused product development initiatives.

Person Specification

Knowledge

Understanding of the NPD process within an FMCG environment.

Awareness of food manufacturing processes (desirable).

Basic knowledge of food safety, labelling legislation, and nutrition.

Understanding of retailer requirements and technical systems (preferred).

Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail with an analytical and methodical approach.

Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
