We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated PMLD Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and well-resourced special needs school in Greenwich from September 2025.

This role is ideal for individuals with a care background or prior experience working with students who have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). You'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with highly complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with PMLD

Assist students with personal care, feeding, and mobility needs

Support the implementation of tailored learning and therapy plans

Encourage the development of communication, independence, and life skills

Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals

Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment at all times

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience working with PMLD students or in a care setting

Comfortable with personal care and manual handling

Calm, compassionate, and resilient approach

Ability to follow individual learning, health, and care plans

Strong teamworking skills and excellent communication

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
