£38K + Travel time paid and OT = £50K-£55K OTE

The Company:
Part of a global manufacturing group – this business design and manufacture special purpose machinery for an international customer based. They are in a niche industry and are classed as technical specialists in their field. As a result of continued growth and increased demand for their products they are looking to expand their service department with an additional workshop and field service engineer.
The Role:
The role of a workshop and service engineer is incredibly varied and includes:
Roughly 70-75% of the role is Workshop based - regular days with an early finish every Friday
Supporting the customer with product trails
Machinery modifications and test (electrical and mechanical)
Planning service visits
Technical support to customers
25-30% of the role will be Field Based:
Visiting customer sites all over the world
Machinery installations and commissioning
Breakdown support
Planned maintenance
Electrically the workshop and service engineer will be working on single and 3 phase systems, inverters, drives, relays, safety circuits and PLC’s
Mechanically the work includes conveyors, bearings, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics.
Required Experience:
The workshop and service engineer must be flexible to travel and work away from home
The work both electrical and mechanical so you must have a multi-skilled engineering background
You will be a qualified engineer to NVQ 3 as a minimum in either electrical or mechanical engineering
Manufacturing experience is desirable, but ex Forces engineers would also be a great fit for this role
