Lift Service & Repair | Lift Industry
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Basic Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
Additional Earnings:

Optional callout rota after 6 months: 1 in 5 with £600/week standby allowance

Marmon Lift Recruitment is working exclusively with a large global lift company to recruit a Lift Engineer for a fixed Sheffield-based service route.
This role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining approximately 50 lift units across three local sites. There is no regional travel required, making this an ideal position for engineers seeking long-term stability and work-life balance.
Callout: No callout required for the first 6 months. After 6 months, an optional callout on a 1 in 5 rota, and a Standby allowance of £600 per week
Key Responsibilities
*
Service, repair, and maintain passenger and goods lifts across three local sites.
*
Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance in line with service contracts.
*
Diagnose faults and complete reactive repairs efficiently
*
Accurately report defects and recommend improvements to equipment and safety
*
Complete maintenance schedules and service documentation
Escalator Training & Earnings
*
Engineers already dual-trained in escalators will earn an additional £5,000 p.a
*
Engineers not escalator-qualified will receive company-funded first-response escalator training, enabling progression to dual qualification.
Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate
*
Currently working as a Lift Service Engineer, Lift Repair Engineer, or Lift Installation Engineer.
*
Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the lift industry
*
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent)
*
Preferred - experience working with escalators
*
Holds a clean UK Driving Licence
