An academically ambitious and inclusive secondary school in Oxford is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Chemistry ECT to join its successful Science department in September 2025. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a trainee Chemistry teacher looking to begin their career in a supportive, well-respected school.

Your responsibilities as a Chemistry ECT will include:

Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with some support in KS5 depending on experience

*

Creating practical and engaging lessons using modern lab equipment and digital tools

*

Inspiring students to explore scientific questions through inquiry-based learning

*

Participating in the wider life of the department, including clubs, trips, and competitions

*

Working closely with your mentor and participating in CPD and training sessions

*

Contributing to schemes of work, lesson planning, and assessment development

*

Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

*

Reflecting on your teaching and implementing feedback to improve practice

Ideal candidates for this Chemistry ECT role will:

Hold a degree in Chemistry or a related field and be completing ITT in 2025

*

Be enthusiastic about delivering high-quality science education

*

Be organised, reflective, and committed to developing their teaching career

*

Bring energy and a collaborative spirit to the department and the wider school
