Installation Engineer

Location: Maidstone, Kent – UK-wide travel

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 DOE

Full-time | Permanent

Our client is a trusted provider of automatic gate and barrier systems, delivering high-quality installations and servicing across the UK. This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone with electrical wiring experience and gate safety knowledge.

You’ll be working on both fixed and mobile systems, including SOSEC and INSTABOOM barriers.

Key responsibilities:

* Routine servicing and reactive repairs of gates, barriers, and access control systems

* Commissioning and maintenance of mobile barrier systems nationwide

* Accurate online record-keeping and force testing to DHF TS011:2019 standards

* Safety upgrades and repair work with quoting support

* Customer-facing work with a focus on professionalism and presentation

* Team collaboration and independent working

* Participation in call-out rota (1 week in 4), with occasional weekend work

Candidate requirements:

* Previous experience with gates/barriers/bollards and a understanding the electronics/logic systems is essential

* You must hold a ECS ticket

* Gate safety knowledge

* Full UK driving licence

* Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required

* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
