The Role
We are seeking a driven Technical Sales Manager to expand our client’s presence across industry and infrastructure sectors in the South of England. This is a consultative, specification-led sales role involving technical engagement with engineers, designers, contractors, and asset owners. The ideal candidate will thrive on developing relationships from a cold start through to repeat business and long-term framework agreements.
Key Responsibilities

Identify and target clients across sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, transport, pharma, telecoms, and construction
*
Work with engineering design firms, project owners, and contractors to generate technical specifications
*
Develop new business pipelines through proactive outreach and structured business development planning
*
Maintain and grow existing accounts, ensuring technical and commercial satisfaction
*
Deliver presentations and technical demonstrations to engineers and stakeholders
*
Support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to implementation
*
Attend industry events to promote solutions and network for project intelligence
*
Maintain accurate records and reporting through CRM and internal systems
*
Provide technical input to project designs and advise on bespoke solution configurations
About You
*
Proven experience in technical or specification sales, ideally in an industrial or infrastructure setting
*
Comfortable presenting complex solutions to design engineers, contractors, and end users
*
Able to identify and convert project opportunities using industry insight, databases, and personal networks
*
Consultative, structured approach to business development
*
Highly organised with excellent communication and presentation skills
