Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected business in Central Manchester to recruit a Credit Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive finance team in a business that values accuracy, professionalism, and strong client relationships. You’ll support the current Credit Controller in ensuring timely payments while delivering excellent service. This is a key role with the flexibility to either become the owner of the credit control function or for those looking to broaden their experience, a clear path into wider finance roles in future.

The team has a strong track record of internal development, with several members having successfully progressed from credit control into other roles within the team whilst studying AAT. 

Location: Central Manchester + Hybrid
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 + AAT/CICM study support

Main duties:

Chasing outstanding payments by email in line with agreed payment terms
Supporting the collections process and liaising with internal teams
Helping to maintain an efficient and well-structured credit control system
Sending out invoices and statements accurately and on schedule
Investigating and resolving payment queries
Liaising with external debt recovery agencies when needed
Accurately processing and allocating incoming payments
Keeping finance systems up to date with daily transactions
Organising and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines

Candidate specification:

Experience within credit control
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Well-organised, with excellent attention to detail
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively
Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles
