We are recruiting for an Installation Technician for a leading IT service provider based in Cardiff to deliver desktop hardware installation services in a dynamic environment. 

This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with technology but are seeking a role that is engaging without being overly complex.

Role Overview:

As an Installation Technician, you’ll be responsible for setting up and installing hardware for our clients, including desktops and associated peripherals. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of equipment, ensuring smooth connectivity and functionality.

This role involves:

Unboxing and installing desktop kits at client desks.
Connecting peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, mice, printers).
Managing power and network cables and ensuring proper connections.
Performing power-on self-tests to ensure devices are working correctly.
Starting automated builds and executing basic, scripted post-login configurations.What We Need:

Technical Skills: You don’t need to be a full-on IT expert, but you should have basic technical knowledge and an interest in working with hardware.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring installations are done to specification, without missing any steps.
Team Player: Collaborating with other technicians and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
