Job Title: Assistant Site Manager

O’Neill & Brennan are working alongside one of the UK’s leading residential developers, renowned for delivering high-quality housing developments. Due to ongoing growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking a dedicated Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a major residential development in Hertfordshire.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day supervision of site operations, ensuring homes are built to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role to take the next step in their career with a reputable developer.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination and management of all on-site activities.
Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with design and specification.
Monitor and enforce health & safety and site cleanliness.
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain build progress and resolve issues.
Carry out quality control inspections and manage snagging lists.
Maintain accurate site records and report progress to the Site Manager.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Site Manager role within residential construction.
Proven experience on volume housing developments is essential.
Strong understanding of building regulations, NHBC standards, and construction health & safety.
Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage subcontractors and drive performance on-site.
Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work certification.
