HGV Driver (Class 1) – Rochester
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000+ per year (Including enhanced rates, overtime & allowances)
Working Hours - Rolling Shift Pattern (Will include weekend work) 

Holt Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of a very successful client to recruit an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join their transport department.
We have an excellent opportunity for responsible and reliable drivers to ensure goods are transported safely, securely, and in full compliance with UK legislation.

Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety regulations and customer site rules.
Comply with UK transport legislation, including driver’s hours and vehicle defect reporting.
Take full responsibility for the security of goods in transit (including occasional nights out).
Operate in a safe and economical manner at all times.
Carry out a variety of trailer work (chilled refrigerators, curtain siders, low loaders, containers).
Complete all delivery/collection notes and ensure accurate paperwork for debriefing.
Provide a high standard of service to both customers and colleagues.
Use a forklift or pump truck when required for loading/unloading.
Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and wear PPE as required.
Occasionally operate a 30-seater company bus (training provided if required).Requirements
HGV Class 1 Licence and valid Tacho Card – essential.
PSV Licence – advantageous (training funded if needed).
Proven experience operating HGV Class 1 vehicles.
Strong understanding of health & safety and food hygiene standards.
Ability to follow written and spoken instructions accurately.
Comfortable with manual handling and a physical role.
Flexible with working patterns, including unsociable hours.
Proactive, with a can-do attitude and ability to use initiative.Hours & Pay
Average 55 hours per week on a rolling shift:

Week 1: 5 on / 1 off
Week 2: 5 on / 2 off 
£17.36 per hour (first 40 hours) - Rising to £21.70 per hour (after 40 hours).
Additional overnight allowance.
Extra bonus for operating 30-seater buses.Benefits
