An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer with a background in the UK construction industry to join the expanding team of a dynamic main contractor who have a strong pipeline of projects across the Midlands.

The Senior Planning Engineer will be involved in the full life-cycle of projects, from inception to completion. They will provide planning expertise to live projects in the region and also be responsible for working closely with the pre-construction team and producing competitive tender programmes for projects which are typically valued between £20-200m

The Senior Planning Engineer will report directly into the Construction Director and they will be the go too person for anything planning related for projects within the Midlands catchment area. They will initially be responsible for a £50m student accommodation project in Central Birmingham and a £30m project in Nottingham.

This is a great opportunity offering a varied workload. This is a hybrid role where the Senior Planning Engineer will split their working week between live projects, office in Central Birmingham and working remotely from home.

The Senior Planning Engineer must be able to demonstrate a track record of working in a similar role, working for a UK main contractor on projects at tender and contract stages. They will additionally have a solid understanding of construction, strong commercial knowledge and be a proficient user of Asta Powerproject.

The Senior Planning Engineer will be offered a competitive salary plus an attractive benefits package that includes the following;

Basic salary of between £70-85,000 per annum dependent upon experience
