Contract Duration: 13+ Months

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £21.49 per hour

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the waste depot, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.

Manage and coordinate the team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to regulations.

Develop and implement operational strategies to improve waste management processes and enhance service delivery.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and inventory to optimize operational efficiency.

Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to address community needs and enhance service quality.

Prepare and present reports on depot performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

Person Specifications

Proven experience in waste management or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive operational improvements.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members, stakeholders, and the community.

Proficient in budget management and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective operations.

Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with a proactive approach to compliance.

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
