Horizon Teachers is seeking a reliable and motivated Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Newham London. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable classroom experience and play a key role in supporting students’ progress.

About you:

Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or education setting.
Confident in managing groups of students and promoting positive behaviour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine interest in supporting the education and development of young people. 
Key responsibilities:

Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that they stay on task and follow the lesson plan provided
Assist students with any questions they may have about the work and provide guidance where needed.
Maintain order and discipline in the classroom, following the school’s behaviour policies.
Step into different classrooms and subjects as needed, quickly adjusting to varying classroom dynamics.
