Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as a Passenger Sales Manager.
Be part of the movement - and play your part.
About the role
As a key representative of DFDS, you will be responsible for managing and developing customer and account relationships across the passenger travel trade. As the role does not include people management the focus is entirely on commercial partnerships, account development, and revenue growth.
You will work with a wide range of B2B partners including retail travel agents, coach and tour operators, wholesalers, tourism organisations, trade associations, and other industry partners.
The role centres on developing existing accounts, identifying new commercial opportunities, and driving revenue growth through strong partnerships and targeted engagement initiatives. You will play a central role in promoting DFDS’ passenger offering across our routes while securing effective commercial agreements with key partners.
The role can be based in either Newcastle/Northern UK or Estonia.
Depending on your location, you must speak the local language and be fluent in English, and you should bring strong market and client knowledge relevant to your region.
You will be responsible for
*
Developing and maintaining strong relationships within your portfolio of accounts
*
Identifying and securing new business opportunities to grow revenue and market presence
*
Conducting regular customer visits, presentations, and training sessions to increase product knowledge and engagement
*
Organising and leading product experience events, familiarisation trips, and promotional activities
*
Negotiating and managing commercial agreements that support sustainable business growth
About you
You bring experience in B2B sales, ideally with a background in account management or business development. Experience within the travel or transport sector is an advantage, but not essential - we are open to candidates with strong potential who can grow into the role with support and development.
You are commercially driven, target-focused, and confident engaging with partners to deliver results. You are highly organised and able to manage multiple accounts while planning and prioritising sales activity effectively. You thrive in a performance-led environment and have a track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities. You are comfortable working across a range of distribution channels and ideally have a good understanding of the passenger travel trade. Your ability to build strong relationships, think strategically, and adapt to changing market dynamics makes you a valuable addition to the team.
Language expectations (all locations):
Regardless of where you are based, you must be fluent in English. In addition, you must speak the local language of your base location:
*
UK-based: fluent English
*
Estonia-based: fluent Estonian and fluent English (Russian beneficial)
