Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3) – Year 4 General Class

Location: Nelson

Salary: £13.33 per hour

Contract: Full-time, until the end of the school year

Start: ASAP

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, supportive, and inspiring Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Nelson. You will work primarily in a Year 4 general classroom, supporting teaching and learning, delivering interventions, and helping pupils reach their full potential.

This is a full-time position with non-negotiable hours:

* Monday & Tuesday: 8:15 – 15:35

* Wednesday: 8:15 – 16:20

* Thursday: 8:15 – 16:05

* Friday: 8:15 – 15:35

In addition to classroom support, you will:

* Supervise children at lunchtimes (dinner hall and playground).

* Assist with breakfast club once per week.

* Deliver small group interventions, including Guided Reading.

* Provide 1-1 support for pupils as needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

* Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

* Have previous experience with Year 4 or above.

* Be nurturing, supportive, and inspiring.

* Have a strong track record in delivering interventions and classroom support.

* Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate children.

* Work effectively as part of a highly motivated professional team.

* Be committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of children.

* Provide two references covering the last 5 years.

* Hold a current DBS check or be willing to obtain one.
