Therapeutic Support Practitioner

(Training provided, however some experience in children required)

£31,000- £33,000 per annum full time (part time pro rata)

Full driving licence essential (car provided in work)

Shift work (must be willing to do some over nights and weekends)

40 hr working week

The Role:

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping Children and Young People create positive change in their lives. Your empathy, dedication, and commitment will provide them with the guidance they need to build new foundations. You will be a mentor, a role model, and a source of encouragement as they strive to reintegrate into society as responsible and productive individuals.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement personalised care plans to support the unique needs of each resident.

* Create a safe and respectful environment that fosters personal growth and rehabilitation.

* Offer emotional support and guidance, helping residents understand and address their behaviours.

* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers.

* Organise and participate in group activities to promote social skills, self-esteem, and positive interactions.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation to track progress and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements:

* Genuine passion for helping children and young people overcome challenges and make positive changes in their lives.

* Full UK driving licence

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust.

* Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

* Patience and resilience to work with individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviours.

* Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a residential setting (desired, not required).

* Level 3 residential childcare desirable but not essential, must enrol on course when you start
