Kingston Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established, innovative organisation specialising in the delivery of modular and mobile healthcare facilities across the UK and internationally.
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their Hull-based team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of technically complex healthcare projects, managing and coordinating the full design process to ensure high-quality, compliant solutions are delivered on time and in line with regulatory standards.
The Role
The Design Manager will be responsible for coordinating design activities across multiple projects, working closely with internal teams, external consultants and clients to ensure designs are practical, compliant and commercially aligned.
You will be instrumental in maintaining design quality, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting continuous improvement across the design function.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing and coordinating design processes across projects
*
Ensuring alignment with project programmes, healthcare regulations and company standards
*
Working collaboratively with architects, engineers and specialist consultants
*
Reviewing and quality-checking design deliverables
*
Identifying and resolving technical design challenges
*
Supporting the development and refinement of design management processes
*
Providing technical input within your area of expertise
*
Promoting health & safety and quality management standards at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
*
Experience within a design role in healthcare, pharma/life sciences or off-site/modular construction
*
Strong coordination and organisational skills
*
Knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards, ideally within healthcare
*
Experience working across RIBA stages
*
Proficiency with design software (Revit, AutoCAD or similar)
*
Degree in Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
