We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Tonbridge. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and committed to supporting pupils’ learning and well-being across a range of abilities and needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with class teachers to support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.
*
Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, helping to reinforce learning and promote engagement.
*
Assist with classroom management, ensuring a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
*
Support pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND or EAL, adapting learning materials as required.
*
Contribute to assessment and observation processes to help track pupil progress.
*
Help prepare classroom resources and maintain a tidy and organised learning space.
*
Supervise pupils during non-teaching times such as break and lunch, as needed.
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with children in an educational setting (school-based or otherwise).
*
Be proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*
Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Show a genuine interest in pupil development and safeguarding.
*
Have a good level of literacy and numeracy (minimum GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent).
Desirable but not essential:
*
Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
*
A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate).
*
Knowledge of the national curriculum.
