Mech Tech Professionals currently have a full-time opportunity available for an Outage Planner/TAR Planner to work at an Energy from Waste Facility based in Kent.
Our client, one of the UK's most prolific Waste and resource management companies, requires a competent professional to start with them immediately or upon availability.

This is a permanent positon, working 5 days per week (Monday to Friday).
Position Overview:
As an Outage Planner, you will be responsible for the planning of preventative and reactive outage work at an Energy from Waste site, to ensure all resources are used in the most effective manner to maximise plant SHEQ performance, availability, and output.
Moreover, the position will include implementing new planning processes and procedures directed at increasing the overall plant availability in line with budget expectations.
Overview
* Hold a key position within business encompassing the planning, execution, and completion of planned outages of each of the three lines within the plant as well as a steam turbine, generator, and other common plant
* Carry out assigned tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with H&S Rules & Regulations
* Develop appropriate documentation for the project management e.g. risk registers, Gantt charts etc
* Improve the workflow process to ensure the sites resources are used in the most effective and safe manner
* Organise and contribute towards the team effort ethic, encouraging team spirit and help others
* Ensure that all activities within the EFW site are carried out in a safe manner in line with the client’s safety policy and all Health and Safety statutory requirements.
* Strive for continual improvement in minimising Health and Safety risk at the EFW plant.
* Ensure all visitors/subcontractors attending the site are inducted in the site safety and emergency procedures
* Strengthen the development of the CMMS to maximise the benefit to the team and the business
* Create, prepare, and submit financial applications for funding in timely fashion, ensuring full approval is in place before work commences
* Ensure that the sites housekeeping standards are achieved and developed
* Ensure stock and non-stock materials are ordered and available as required, working with procurement to actively manage min/max levels and adding new equipment to stock where appropriate

Qualifications & Experiences:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Energy from Waste, Power, or similar industries (Preferred)
* Candidate will hold an IOSH/NEBOSH safety accreditation (Desirable)
* Completion of all other training when required, as defined within the Training Matrix.
* The professional will hold formal planning or project management qualifications, or extensive relevant proven experience.
* Experience within an Outage Planner/TAR role: maintenance planning experience, with the ability to create change
* Previous Maintenance Management System experience – knowledge of Q4 would be an advantage
* Experience with preventative/predictive maintenance techniques
* Knowledge of root cause analysis and similar fault-finding analysis techniques
