RTL Group are seeking a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to work out of the office in Abderrden 3 days a week and 2 days from home. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join a leading engineering team delivering brownfield site modifications in the petrochemical sector.

The Role

*

Lead a team of civil and structural engineers and designers.

*

Act as the key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders.

*

Coordinate and deliver engineering packages on time, on budget, and to quality standards.

*

Review and approve technical documents, drawings, and calculations.

*

Develop design reports and specifications.

*

Provide guidance to junior team members and support their development.

*

Promote safe design practices, including temporary works considerations.

Requirements

*

BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

*

Chartered status (ICE or IStructE) – essential.

*

Strong experience in the petrochemical or energy sectors.

*

Proficient in the design of:

*

Foundations

*

Pipe supports and pipe racks

*

Equipment supports

*

Drainage systems

*

Steel and concrete structures

*

Temporary works

*

Excellent communication and team leadership skills.

*

Offshore experience beneficial but not essential.

*

Must hold a valid UK driving licence.

Hybrid working with a requirement to attend the Aberdeen office three days per week.
